ABOUT ME
A Passionate Educator
I began my career as a piano teacher while still a student at the Juilliard School of Music. Many of my students were children with special needs. I felt the music and passion in these children and felt their frustration because they did not have the ability to count up lines and spaces or to even remember the notes on the piano. During the course of my work with these children, I developed my method of teaching piano, which is great for everyone, of all ages and abilities. Rather than teaching with traditional techniques using scales and finger exercises, my unique Juilliard-inspired method teaches students how to play by ear by studying their favorite pieces of music. There are no finger exercises and no cramps caused by curling fingers. When it’s time to learn to read music, all my students have to do is see the difference between up and down. My distinctive method is wildly successful. I love what I do.
